Proper Digestive Health Supplement

  • Helps soothe the entire digestive tract
  • Supports healing of gastrointestinal ulceration
  • Maintains bacterial balance
  • Promotes a healthy immune system

Excel helps to soothe the entire digestive system (esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines and the colon), which aids in lessening the discomforts of digestive issues. A healthy small intestine is required for the most efficient and powerful immune system as 70% of it is found in this area of the GI Tract.

Two of the key ingredients in Excel are Aloe Vera Powder and Marshmallow Root Powder. They promote overall digestive health and help to reduce the negative side effects of gastric upset. Both work well with the prebiotic Yea-Sacc® to help increase the absorption of needed nutrients from food.

Psyllium Husk Powder has long been recognized as an excellent means of getting more dietary fiber and promoting colon health. Psyllium forms a gelatin-like mass in the colon, which keeps the bowels soft and regular. This helps absorb ingested toxins.

Slippery Elm Bark Powder resists breakdown from stomach acids and enzymes so it maintains a soothing action throughout the digestive system. In addition, it helps regulate bacteria in the intestine and enhances good gut flora.

Marshmallow Root is a mucilaginous extract that promotes soothing of any ulcerated tissues.

Some symptoms associated with gastrointestinal distress in dogs are: vomiting, abdominal pain and/or bloating, ulcers, gurgling, weight loss, eating grass, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, and decreased appetite. Anxiousness, anger, defensiveness, and depression can be some of the behavioral symptoms.

Excel is an all-natural digestive health supplement that is fed daily. Excel may be used long term without the possible buildup of aluminum, found in daily antacids, which may lead to a metal toxicity, especially when used long-term.

Many horses tested with Horse Hair Analysis consistently show severe nutritional deficiencies in at least 3 of the 4 electrolyte minerals, iron, selenium and cobalt. A significant percentage also have a toxic metal present in their body, such as aluminum or mercury, that must be chelated from the body for it regain optimal health. We have not yet been able to study this in dogs, however, both are monogastric and have very similar digestive tract anatomy and physiology. Therefore, we can safely assume that the same type of thing is occurring in our pets.

We recommend that all pet owners consider feeding a dietary program more like what dogs were designed to eat. We promote the proper nutrition that comes from feeding a grain-free kibble, freeze dried, fresh or frozen food. You can find the recipe to make your own in Dr. Karen Becker’s book titled: Dr Becker's Real Food For Healthy Dogs and Cats: Simple Homemade Food. A great resource to find premade diets can be found on the Dog Food Advisor website. If you are concerned about taurine deficiency that some claim occurs when feeding a grain-free diet you may purchase some here: https://www.bulksupplements.com/products/taurine
