Canine Essential™ is a complete vitamin supplement formulated by Mark DePaolo, DVM, to address the fundamental nutritional requirements your pet needs to attain optimal health. It is filled with essential ingredients such as Boswellia, Yucca and all of the Essential Vitamins required for a full healthy and happy life.
Boswellia is included in high enough concentrations to help decrease inflammation, promote respiratory, gut and immune health, and support strong joints and pain free mobility. This will act as a benefit for any dogs experiencing pain from osteoarthritis or dysplasia, increasing activity and energy levels. This ingredient has also been shown to slow cartilage degradation. It reduces intestinal inflammation and therefore soothes irritable bowel conditions. And will frequently reduce allergic inflammation and decrease inappropriate auto-immune responses. Respiratory inflammation as in asthma or allergic reactions are also benefitted by the inclusion of Boswellia.
Yucca has been added to help reduce stool/urine odor. It actively binds to ammonia and other ingredients in the digestive system, helping to decrease odors during excretion. It has been shown to improve nutrient digestion and absorption while at the same time reducing gas and bloating. It too has natural anti-inflammatory properties to help decrease discomfort from damaged connective tissue and joints. Yucca contains natural antioxidants that bind and neutralize free radicals, helping to promote a healthy immune system by reducing oxidative stress.
The key vitamins include Vitamin C, A, D3, E, B1,2,5,6 and 12, Niacin, Folic Acid and Biotin. All of which are required for a healthy, happy, pain free and active lifestyle for all ages of canines. There are no inactive ingredients or fillers that are toxic to dogs. Citric Acid is the only preservative included, and it is natural and plant based obtained from citrus fruits. .

We recommend that all dogs be fed an anti-inflammatory diet. Because canines are carnivores, no Grain, Sugar or Soy should ever be fed to them, if we want them to be as healthy as possible.
We recommend a good quality fresh or frozen food, but a soy free and grain free kibble is certainly a better choice than anything with pro-inflammatory ingredients like those that are listed above.
